Matt's interest in the outdoors and wildlife started at a very young age. He shot his first animal, a Mountain Reedbuck at the age of seven. That was a big day in his life, and unbeknownst to him, the start of his hunting career. He has been actively involved in professional hunting since 1998 and obtained his Professional Hunters license in 2002. Matt gained valuable experience when he hunted in South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania and Botswana, under the guidance of well-known Outfitters and Professional Hunters including his father who is still an active Professional Hunter.
Jacklyne obtained her degree in Tourism Management and Marketing in 2004. She is actively involved with the day to day management of the company, handling all bookings and related queries. She sets very high standards when it comes to the different camps Likhulu Safaris use, ensuring that clients will have an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Jacklyne is also an outstanding cook and will make sure NO ONE leaves camp hungry.
Marius joined Team Likhulu as Lodge Manager at the beginning of 2013. Marius joined the ranks as a hunter at the age of twelve with his first animal, a Common Blesbuck which he successfully hunted with his dad, also a Professional Hunter on their family ranch. Through his worldwide travels, Marius picked up a lot of experience and have a lot of tales to share, making him the perfect host.
Wynand Eksteen has joined Likhulu Safaris at the start of the 2022 Safari season. He shot his first animal, a Blesbuck in 2004 with Matt in the Free State and has ever since loved the Outdoors and Hunting. He will make sure that the office is operating smoothly. But we are sure you will see him in the field more in the 2023 season behind the camera.
Wayne is a 25-year veteran professional hunter who has been working very closely with Likhulu Safaris for the last 5 years. Wayne has hunted big game extensively throughout Zimbabwe and has earned a reputation for being an expert on leopard hunting.
Andreas has alwasy loved the adventures you get in nature. As a child it all began with catching fish in the local lakes. One by accident he ended up in the middle of a local pheasant shoot. The hunters could have sent him home, but instead they gave him a stick and a job for the day pushing up birds. From that day is was all about hunting. Today he is a dedicated hunter with more than 30 years of experience.The passion for nature and hutning has brought him to many places around Europe. Reindeer Huntig in Norway and Sika stalking in Ireland to mention a few. In 2014 he visited South Africa for the first time and fell in love with Southern Africa.
Andreas joined the Likhulu Team in 2017, as our Danish and Scandinavian booking agent.
William joined Likhulu Safaris in 2008, where he learned his skills under the guidance of several Professional Hunters and Skinners. William has got to be one of the Best skinners in the industry and takes a lot of pride in what he does.
Kuda joined Likhulu Safaris at the beginning of the 2021 season. He has extensive skills in the hunting industry and a GREAT tracker!
Koos joined Likhulu Safaris at the end of the 2015 hunting season. Under the guidance of William, he has learned all of his skinning skills. Koos is a very good driver and is also part of the maintenance team. He is always smiling when doing any work, a real pleasure to have around!
Evelyn joined Likhulu Safaris at the beginning of the 2011 season. She is the main housekeeper and makes sure that all laundry is done on a daily basis and that the lodge is clean. She also assists in the kitchen when needed.
