Matt's passion for the outdoors and wildlife began at a very young age. He shot his first animal, a Mountain Reedbuck, at the age of seven. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of his hunting career. Since 1998, Matt has been actively involved in professional hunting, obtaining his Professional Hunter's license in 2002. He has gained extensive experience hunting in South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania, and Botswana, under the mentorship of renowned outfitters and professional hunters, including his father, who is still an active professional hunter.
Jacklyne's extensive background in Tourism Management and Marketing, complemented by her academic achievements, is a cornerstone of Likhulu Safaris' success. Her hands-on approach to operations, from menu planning to supply management, ensures seamless service integration. Jacklyne's dedication to excellence is evident in her meticulous attention to detail in decorating Likhulu's main camp, creating an ambiance of comfort and elegance. Her culinary expertise, especially in preparing game meat procured by clients, enhances the safari adventure, blending the thrill of the wild with the joy of gastronomy. Nico's journey into the world of hunting began in the vibrant red dunes of the Kalahari, where the art of hunting first captured his imagination. His passion for the outdoors grew as he explored the diverse terrains of the Eastern Cape, Free State, and Limpopo bushveld. With a professional hunter's license in hand since 2019, Nico combines his extensive knowledge of firearms and reloading with a deep respect for wildlife. His enthusiasm for hunting and fishing is matched only by his desire to share these experiences, fostering a connection with nature that he hopes to pass on to others.
Jenn's life is a unique blend of nature, history, and service. As a full-time Police Detective with the South African Police Service, Jenn balances a demanding career with a passion for the outdoors. Jenn qualified as a Professional Hunter in 2000 and has been working part-time with Likhulu Safaris since 2010, promoting respectful hunting practices. Jenn's interest in firearms reflects a deep appreciation for history and technology, and their stories often connect the past with the present, highlighting innovation. Balancing the thrill of hunting, law enforcement duties, and intellectual pursuits, Jenn stands out as a remarkable individual.
Eduard grew up in the biodiverse Limpopo region, developing a deep respect for nature. His career in professional hunting continues a legacy of land stewardship. Specializing in the challenging Cape Buffalo hunts, Eduard’s skills reflect his dedication. His passion for the bush and sharing experiences emphasizes ethical hunting and conservation, ensuring wildlife sustainability for future generations. Eduard's journey embodies passion, respect, and a harmonious relationship with the outdoors.
Born and raised on a working farm in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa, Kelvin was immersed in hunting and the African bush from an early age. Like many farm children in Africa, the tradition was passed down from father to son, and countless hours spent in the veld with his father laid the foundation for a lifelong career in the wilderness.
He harvested his first duiker at the age of five, a moment that marked the beginning of a deep and lasting connection to the African bush. What started as a childhood passion evolved into a calling, shaped by years of hands-on experience, respect for wildlife, and an appreciation for ethical, fair-chase hunting.
Today, Kelvin brings over 30 years of experience in the African bush, including 15 years as a licensed Professional Hunter. His approach reflects the core values of Likhulu Safaris—attention to detail, ethical hunting practices, and a strong emphasis on quality rather than quantity. Every hunt is carefully planned, unhurried, and tailored to the individual client, with a focus on mature animals and a true African hunting experience.
For me, success is not measured only by trophies, but by the experience as a whole—honest hunting, good company, and doing things the right way. I believe in sharing the bush, the knowledge, and the responsibility that comes with hunting in Africa.

Victor is a remarkable Professional Hunter and with a wealth of experiences with animals. His work ethic and knowledge of the task at hand are unmatched. Hareld has successfully completed his FGASA Level 1 Guide qualification and has officially joined the Likhulu Safaris family. He will now be completing his full-time apprenticeship with Likhulu, where he will continue to gain hands-on experience in the African bush under the guidance of senior Professional Hunters.
When the time is right, and with the necessary experience behind him, Hareld will proceed to Professional Hunter School, continuing his journey toward becoming a fully qualified PH. His dedication, work ethic, and passion for the bush make him a valuable addition to the team, and we look forward to being part of his development and future within Likhulu Safaris.
